  1. Hi Bob,

I have not seen a more resourceful and easy to follow music theory lessons on the web than yours. Thanks. I have a question. When a scale has a flat already in it, how do I play the note with a double flat on the score. The F major scale has a B flat. What note do I play when I see a B double flat on the score. Do I play A or A flat.

  2. Hi Siki,

I’m glad you find the lessons helpful. A flat (or sharp) in a scale (or key signature) has no effect on how you play a double-flat (or double-sharp). A B double-flat will always be an A (enharmonically). Hope this helps.

  3. Thanks Bob
